Today, I found out my friend swapped my girlfriend and probation officer's numbers in my phone. My girlfriend is wondering why I asked her permission to leave the country, and my probation officer said she can't wait to see me again. FML

He never said he texted her and as a probation officer, we don't accept texts. You should NEVER give anyone on your caseload your personal number. Only work phone.

My BIL is a probation officer & his work phone IS a cell & his cases text him regularly to check in, confirm appointments, and ask when is a good time to talk. Just because YOU don't do it, doesn't mean that no probation officer in all the world doesn't ;)

35 is absolutely right. Where I live, I know a lot of probation officers whose main office consists of their car, a laptop, and a cell phone.

Agree with 35. When my boyfriend was on probation, his probation officer gave him a card that contained her office and cell numbers. If he couldn't contact her at the office she told him to call her cell.

Not a good idea. Once his PO realizes the conversation was never meant for her but instead his girlfriend, that she is of no interest to him in that manner, and she made a fool out of herself thinking he liked her, she will come back with vengeance.
