See this is why I don't lend or borrow money.... I don't want to spend what I don't have or give money and not have it payed back.
For starters, don't give your mom anymore money. She obviously has no regard for you in terms of money issues so don't allow her to take advantage of you again. I'd also tell her how you didn't appreciate the way this issue was handled and you won't be giving her anymore money now because of it. FYL OP, I have had similar issues with my family. I had to cut them all off. Its tough to do and causes issues for awhile but it will work out. Very least result, you won't be out the cash anymore.
I would have sent that guy back with a hospital bill and it would be for me
never expect family to payback. just let them have it. no need to ask for it back. its just money.
No no now. That would be the case if you offered the money to her. If she asked for it then she's obligated to pay OP back. I've given my mother money when she really needed because I gave it to her and she didn't ask me at all. If she ever asks me for it she pays me back when she can. Just because you're family doesn't mean free money.
Why did you actually "borrow" $60? Couldn't you have just said that "This is $60 out of all the money you owe me over the years?"
Wonder how much the large man cost..

People need to stop loaning money to people they know won't pay them back. She should have just let OP keep the $60.
So why don't you do the same to her?
