OP Here- Had to make an account to be able to comment on this again, I'm glad it got published! I really should have been paying more attention when it came to counting change... Needless to say, I reached into my own pocket to give her a penny. She then charged out the door without a thank you, even after I apologized. For the people who said they'd be mad too, I definitely agree...-- but there was no need to yell. Anyways, thanks to all who made reassuring & encouraging comments telling me to keep my head up!

We don't even get penny's back on Canada. they are discontinued now and the round up or down. That customer is a dush.

Omg this was me when I use to work as a cashier I'd always be so happy then I'd get yelled at by customers for little things. Try not to let it ruin your mood. Kill them with kindness

Well it is still the money she had to work for. Pennies add up.
