There's tons of international schools in Germany, so if you're really worried about one extra year of education, you can just go to one of those and do American Diploma of International Baccalaureate, both of which are 2 years rather than the 3-year-long German Abitur. I did, and I finished school at the same time as my old classmates in England. Oh, and Germany's actually pretty awesome, especially Berlin - don't judge a place before you move there. Generally, moving to a different country shows out who your true friends are that you'll keep in touch with for a long time, and also lets you gather a bit of experience in life.
I did that for German, Italian, and Spanish school, you pick up the language in about 2 months, but try or you will fail and be put back a year. Go out and about, you will pick it up quicker, I learned Italian in about 4 weeks.
Viel Glück.:)
Germany is awesome an you will pick up the language quick, a lot of Germans speak English too.
It could have been worse OP. I moved to Germany 3 years ago and I still love it here. It might be a bit hard in the beginning if you don't speak the language and stuff, but I found some really great friends who were always there to help me and no I really like it here. Just make sure that you start with an open mind and don't let it drag you down. You'll survive!
I was just Germany, its an awesome place. You can drink, no problem. Haha, it sucks that you know no german, and have to go back a year... I wish you luck.
I'll take your place :3 my friend moved there and I haven't seen him since last year!

that's not so bad at least Germans drink like crazy and you can drive as fast as you want in some parts of the country. sounds like any teenagers dream.
You know what, this is not ok, you should scare her with a bunny, get garden gnomes to conspire against her, and throw away any childhood awards. Then sue.
