Nailed it

By watch_corn_dance - This FML is from back in 2014 but it's good stuff - United States - Pontiac

Today, I was being shown how to use a nail gun while applying for a job at a construction company. The instructor shot me in the arm with it. I didn't even get the job. FML

But what if he wants a decent amount of daddy.

I'm sure some legal action is needed here.

Nobody is going to mention that it's pretty difficult to shoot someone with a nailgun with the security features on it? You would have to do it intentionally.

This. I don't think I've ever seen a nail gun that free shoots without some modification. All of the ones I've ever used have had a pressure plate. They actually have to be pressed against the thing about to be nailed. So either OP's would-be boss modified a nail gun into a weapon for ***** and giggles, which may be illegal depending on where you live, or OP let them press it against their arm which would just be idiotic.

I wouldn't want a job where someone who can't use a nail gun correctly (unless I was replacing that person)...count yourself lucky..also, working with that guy-you could have lost an eye or been injured much worse. I'm thinking A:that guy is an idiot or B:he purposely shot you because he didn't want you to replace him or work with him (in which case he's either a jerk or a genius..or both.

Call a lawyer! Sue them! Get some money out of them AND the job you applied for!

Better than in the head like the guy from Happy Gilmore

I'd talk to a lawyer or something, at least to get your medical bills covered from it. It's not your fault he doesn't know what he's doing.

I guess being instructed on the proper use of a nailgun wasnt part of the interview when the "instructor" got hired
