@ 6 - I personally know that CitiBank has been doing it for at least 5 years, but I've heard of other companies as well. It's becoming more and more common as identity theft is rising. OP: #3 makes a terrific point, although so does the poster above me because you do in fact need to ask if it doesn't match - but I also have to ask - why would you not look at the NAME to just double-check before making a comment like that??
