Noise annoys

Today, I went to a Jack's Mannequin concert. I'd asked this girl I'm interested in to come with me, and she insisted that she had to bring her two year-old son with us. I'd told her it was no problem. Ten minutes into it, she said we needed to leave because it was too loud for him. FML

Bringing a two-year-old on what you wanted to be a date? You set yourself up for that one.

Why would anyone in their right mind even THINK about taking a 2 year old to a concert? retarded

Okay you would be a moron for bringing a todler to a concert if it were a real concert. Jacks Mannequin is in NO way a rock concert. Someone said that JM wrote the "sweetest song ever". That is in no way rock. Sweet and rockin don't fit into the same category. I've seen JM refered to as "piano rock" again an oxy moron. I would love to see the people that go to JM try and survive at a real rock concert with a mosh pit. I've seen people come out of mosh pits dazed and confused, bleeding, with broken noses, and even a bleeding eyeball (thank you Korn), and the last REAL rock concert I watched my friend be literaly thrown into the bar get out and go back into the mosh pit. If you like JM i don't care I'm not telling you to like my type of music we all have different tastes, but don't try to sully the good name of Rock n' Roll by calling week music like JM rock.

That's all true, but it's not just a guy and his piano, there are loud guitars, drums, etc. too. That said, even JM is too loud for a little kid. It's really light as far as "rock" goes (there's a BIG difference between rock and hard rock), but it's certainly loud enough that half the time you can't hear the people you're standing next to (Andrew loves to be LOUD. Do you know about the concert that he paid $3,000 just so he could break the venue's noise ordinance?). That's reallllllly bad for a little kid's ears. I still feel totally sorry for the OP though. JM is my favorite.

Answer: a nutjob, a manipulative person, a very bad mother.

Never heard of the band, but EVERY concert is loud as hell. Paul McCartney? Too loud for a 2 year old. Pink Floyd? Too loud for a two year old. She's a dumbass for suggesting it, and you're a dumbass for agreeing to it. I hope her kid has permanent hearing damage.

Why would you wish that on the kid? You're an asshole.
