Not like that

By anonymous - 26/05/2013 12:23 - Australia

Today, I was in bed with my fiancé. After a while of quiet cuddling, I said, "Babe, I have cold feet." He replied with, "Me too. Let's call off the wedding." I was talking about the actual temperature of my feet. Our wedding is tomorrow. FML

Your dad's got a shotgun, right? You should never have used the phrase "cold feet" in any context within two months of a wedding. Freud would have said that your fiancé was not the only one in the couple who realizes that your upcoming union will be a clusterfuck.

Maybe he understood what you meant but was just trying to be funny because of the double meaning?

Almost everyone gets cold feet right before their wedding. Nothing to worry about OP.

At least he admitted before you got married rather than having the embarrassment of being stood up at the altar. Hopefully you guys can talk it out.

It's the day before.. So still equally embarrassing. You will still have guests show up that you will have to turn away. Anyone from put of town is already there, on their way or already purchased non-refundable plane tickets. The guy is a douche

I understand that, but at least she had an extra day. He really should have brought it up earlier, but that doesn't make him a douche. A lot of men get cold feet before a wedding.

45 It's not only men that can get nervous before a wedding, though :/

*googles what "having cold feet" mean*

What does it mean ? *lost foreigner*

it basically means to be reluctant or to change your mind prior to an event, such as a wedding

Haha im reading the comments to find out

It's associated with changing your mind about wanting to get married but the origin came from a guy playing a losing hand of poker. He complained about his feet being so cold that he couldn't continue to play his hand of cards and was able to leave the game without losing his bettings.

You'll know if he's serious if you find him having drunk sex with your sister in the coat closet after the wedding.

At least you won't end up like Adam Sandler in "The Wedding Singer." "This could have been brought to my attention YESTEEEEEERDAAAAAAAY!!!!"

Did it ever occur to you that he might be joking? My fiancee (ée?) And I joke like that fairly often

If there's doubt like that then the worst thing you can do is go through with it. It's best you know now, if you're not ready then you're not ready.
