You're her first mistake.
it? for a child? just use they.
Do you view yourself as someone's mistake? Just because you don't want children don't assume those around you are mistakes. I'm pretty sure you were referred to as a crotch-goblin or a mistake by snoby persons like you at least once.
Next time an entitled parent does this to you, complain to train staff that they're harassing you. If the staff are competent, they'll tell the parent to knock it off or be escorted off the train.
No kidding!!! A few years ago, I was sitting in my car in the parking lot while my daughter was in dance class. A mom was walking though the parking lot with a boy like kindergarten or first grade age. He was running while looking backwards at his mom, and ran smack into the side mirror of my car. He started crying. Instead of apologizing to me for potential damage to my car, she started yelling at me! I was in a parking spot and my car wasn’t running ot anything. WTH???
Obviously the kid didn't need much help if the parent had time to yell at you for 10 minutes but reading your last sentence gives a feeling you wouldn't have helped anyone with anything.
don't worry, if you had helped her child then she would have yelled at you for daring to touch her precious baby.
