OP is from Austria, not the USA. She'd probably have as much luck quoting the periodic table of elements.

Infact the periodic table of elements is the same everywhere. Its not like Americans have one name for carbon and Germans have another. These names have been standardized to avoid confusion from having different names for the elements. Also Darwin quotes are likely translated to Op's language for use in their science classes.
