Oh no

Today, at the bank where I work, I escorted a very short woman to her safe deposit box in the vault. I left her alone, knowing she could use the phone to call the reception when she was ready to leave. We later realised the phone was too high for her to reach. If glares could kill… FML

should've used her safety deposit box as a step stool lol

Don't feel too bad OP, you didn't know that when you left her there. And she got out eventually.

Having read the French version, OP pointed out that she left her for about two jours before realizing her mistake. EDIT: didn't read the first comment, my bad.

53, two JOURS!? Yeah, I know it was a typo... But in French, that makes it somewhat funnier...

another one stayed 22 hours in a bank when the employees forgot her

Oh man... I thought that sort of thing only happens on TV, with her being in their two hours.

perhaps your bank should put one of those safety step stools down there to prevent future issues for short people. Prevention is the best fix

And I thought it was embarrassing asking people to get things down from the top shelf for me. Poor woman but I suppose she would be used to it by now.

Who doesn't have a cell phone? Call the bank and let them know. Honest mistake! She'll get over it!

Be funny to see her jumping for the phone on the security camera

I'm pretty sure it's required to leave them alone with their safety deposit box, so it's not your problem.
