Bullshit! You're the only people who can tell strepsirhines from haplorhines! Where would the human race be without your small tribe that can accurately classify lower primates?!?!? Kurt Vonnegut and Glenn Close were anthro majors. You think their lives are bullshit?
It is not too late to change. Do it ASAP. I switched majors when I realized mine sucked. I was in school a long time but now I have marketable skills and like my job. Just not the arts unless you have a surefire way to make bank which it sounds like you don't.
Not to be rude, but I can’t help feeling like you could’ve predicted the socioeconomic side of things, at least. At any rate, you have a degree now, but you’re under no real obligation to do something in that field if you don’t want to. Most employers will prefer someone with an irrelevant degree over someone with no degree, so that’s something.
If you can't enjoy learning about other people, yeah, go switch. And maybe consider a field with no people in it.
Life is long, even if it sets you back a couple years you should pivot if you really can't be happy with your major. Also many jobs don't really care what your degree is in if you can get a little experience and some certifications.
