Today, at my grandmother's funeral I tried my hardest not to cry, only allowing tears to fall and not making any noise, to be respectful at her funeral. Afterwards, my mother tells my father that I didn't cry, which obviously meant that I didn't love my grandmother and had no soul. FML

It's a funeral, you're allowed to cry. Why would being upset at a funeral be disrespectful?

Gingers are people, too, and they do have souls (if you happen to believe in the concept of souls). I have a friend who is ginger, and he is a nice person who is the star of a YouTube series on my brother's channel that was discontinued after the 7th episode which was a halloween special. I probably didn't need all that information in here though.

OP, you're allowed to cry at a funeral. Also you're a girl, so they're even more allowed to cry. I'm almost always the only one who's crying at funerals here >.< (not like screaming crying, just tears x'D)

I didn't cry when my great uncle died, that doesn't mean I dint love and miss him, your mom is either very close minded, or her emotions were just clouding her judgement, I also don't like the idea that you have to love all of your family members, I'm not saying that you don't, I'm just saying you shouldn't be forced to care about someone if you really don't

You shouldn't have worried about making noise at a funeral, it's not illegal to cry loudly.. Though it may be weird! Xx
