Today, we saw a woman with two out-of-control children. As we walked away, my husband said to me, “Disgusting, I’m glad we’re never having children.” News to me, he'd always said he wanted a kid before we married. An uncomfortable conversation is imminent, damn it. FML

Guys say a lot of things they don't mean to get laid.

Maybe at one point he wanted to have kids, then saw how kids can be, and decided it’s not worth the hassle. Maybe he has friends with kids and hears the stories, or seen first hand watching kids, what they can be like. Minds change all the time. I know, I was firmly anti kid until my first wife’s miscarriage, now I have kids.

Perhaps he’s on the fence. I was for a long time as well, and I probably could be happy in another life without kids. But I have them and I adore them.

This is something you need to hash out. My mom has a college friend who married a Catholic - he wanted 9 kids just like his family. The friend wanted maybe one and that was pushing it. They ended up divorcing. My fiancé and I decided no kids and either of us were willing to get sterilized. I ended up doing it because of a related cancer risk, but I did this in full transparency and with his blessing. If you wanted kids and he doesn’t, or he changed in his mind, are you ok with this? ….or does this mean you’re pregnant and he doesn’t know yet?

Well at least he didn’t wait until you’d fallen pregnant to bring this up I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️
