Pleased to meet you

Today, I went to a restaurant with some friends. I noticed a very cute waitress about my age, so I walked over to her and asked if she had a boyfriend. The extremely fit, attractive waiter standing next to her immediately turned, held out his hand and goes, "Yeah. Meet me." FML

now, I found that entertaining because she's probably not dating the waiter, and he just saved her from being harassed by some random customer.

Mildly embarrassing, but it's not like anything bad, really came of it. If it did, you'd have told us.

Oh, lighten up you assholes. He mustered up the courage to talk to this girl - his server - only to get rejected by her boyfriend. Regardless of if he was her boyfriend or not, it was still embarrassing for the OP and probably made the rest of the meal awkward. Just a funny, embarrassing ANECDOTE, which is the whole idea behind FML. Not all FMLs have to be life altering, devastating events.

How is this an FML? Sounds like a pretty civil exchange of words. Oh noes. Someone asked a girl if she had a boyfriend and low and behold, she did! FML, FML!

That sucks, but it was complete bs. Try hitting on women when there are no other dudes around (except for your wingman), and try to be more subtle.

Just an FYI on how girls/women think, don't do that. If two guys walk up and start hitting on me when I'm alone, I'd be scared shitless, not flattered.

I guess this is an FML...if you're 12. Get over it.

Extremely fit, attractive waiter? You sure you weren't trying to pick up the guy instead?
