Today, my sister ended punching my mother in the face. Blood just leaked everywhere and everything just went downhill. I'm so scared and traumatized from witnessing it. I can’t get the scene out of my head, can’t fall asleep, can’t stop crying, want to puke, want to yell. I just can’t anymore. FML

Sorry you witnessed scarring violence. Was there a reason why the mom was punched or was it belligerent assualt? Your mom can press charges for assualt due to physical injuries and have you stand as a witness in court if she decides to go that route. If it gets too bad, maybe meditation and therapy can help.

OP is a witness to an assualt. It dosen't matter of OP is a part of it or not. The poster viewed something violent and it shook them which is natural. Ex: a lot of people have seen shock films not associated with them like 3 guys 1 hammer or Mr. Hands and have been traumatized despite not being a part of it.
