"Getting two holes?" What does that mean?
Ya I was wondering if she meant he was stabbed or impaled?
She Impaled him with her glider I suppose.
Sounds like ya'll need an intervention when she's sober. If she does this often, start recording her doing this. If she won't improve, leave.
I tried that once - recording a friend who was blackout drunk and showing her later to try to help her curb her drinking - she did NOT take it well. It could be different for a situation like this though - someone being violent to her family as opposed to someone just being embarrassing around her friends. People do tend to get REALLY defensive in any case, though, and it sucks. Good luck to you and your mom and family, OP. If stepdad left as in walked out for good, that may be the wake up call your mom needs to get some help.
If your friend got completely defensive over you showing her how violent she got - then she isn’t just destructive while drunk. It doesn’t matter who it is, if they’re being that destructive - they should know how it looks & if they don’t take it well, that’s a “them-problem” & sticking around someone who will continue to possibly abusive is only damaging to your own health. Of course, easier said than done in terms of “leaving” or getting them forced help - except when it comes to addiction - the person is often way to out of touch & needs tough love. (And I’m not even a believer in tough love unless absolutely necessary). Hope your friend got help! And hope OP’s mother is in an addictions facility to receive appropriate rehabilitation because violent behaviour like that is destructive and unacceptable.
