Today, to celebrate my older sister's 21st birthday, my parents forced me to take the night off work so we could all go to the casino. Not only is this coming out of my vacation, I wasn't old enough to enter the casino, so I had to sit in the car. FML

Actually some places you can't... I've been stranded outside one because someone I was with ran in to look for our friend who we were supposed to pick up. Neither of them came out for about 20 minutes and they wouldn't let me in just to look for them.

hm. the op's lack of age description can make this Fml slightly questionable. Like the other person who's saying the OP call the shots on his life. you never know if the parents that are raising him are trying to say: "NOT IN THIS HOUSE YOUR NOT" based on their actions. Seems like a abusive household in a way? I doubt it but they're a dime a dozen it seems nowadays. I'm sure many people are aware of the "your parent's house, their rules' right? this is probably a heavily enforced rule In that house. if not well there isn't much more for me to think of....hmmm.....

That sucks. Why did you go along knowing you aren't old enough? More importantly why would your parents force you to go? I don't know what the rules are at all casinos. But as far as the ones I go to in Iowa, you can enter the building but can't get on the floor without showing your ID.

it's more like your parents don't control your every move and certainly cannot do a damn thing about your work schedule, so saying they 'forced' him is a bit of a stretch

I love all the "your parents cant make you do shit" comments. Anyway, FYL, op, and yeah, stand up for yourself, but if you have to eat shit for a while at least use it as motivation to get yourself in a position where no one, not even your parents, calls the shots except YOU.
