Either ways she won't have a mother-in-law
Look, not to be rude because I haven't been to many funerals and I'm super sorry for OPs loss but when my pop (grandfather) died after the funeral we sat around and demolished about 6 slabs of beer (24 packs). When a close family friend died the wake was at a bar. So I mean for someone to bring their own booze would've been welcomed :/
I agree that was inappropriate, however some people feel very uncomfortable confronting death. Maybe if you two drink together often she wanted to try to help you ease your pain. Still, probably not the best idea.
Wow. That's rude. I'm sorry.
I hope you mean your ex-girlfriend. That's too disrespectful.
Maybe she wanted to drink so she wouldn't feel the pain?
I have never in my life been to a wake where people were drinking beer. Hard liquor on the other hand, that's pretty common locally. Of course we have a lot of people of Irish and Scottish descent here. That's probably why I don't see a problem with this.
I agree bad taste, my family you bring Scotch or nothing...
