Roasted

Today, I was preparing a dinner for some business associates, in hopes of closing the deal on a promotion. I emailed them with the menu, in case there were any allergies. Hours later, I checked the email again to find that instead of serving Roast Duck I would be serving Roast Fuck. FML

So are you male or female? This will be the determining factor of the promotion after that email.

YDI for not checking your spelling before sending an important email out.

To anyone saying they should've proofread - they most likely did and just missed it. It has to do with your brain and reading your own work. You know exactly what your document/e-mail/whatever is supposed to say, so you're much more likely to read it without seeing minor errors (especially when it comes to typing a similar word to the one you need vs. an outright misspelling). It's why most good English teachers will tell you to always have other people proofread your papers for you. In the case of the OP, who was writing an e-mail, there was probably no real opportunity to have anyone else look over it. In any case, it's funny as heck, and I'm sure they'll understand. :D

This made me laugh SO unbelievably hard!!

#54 beat me to it...at least you didn't say the meal would be featuring roast DICK...

LMFAO!!!!! thats so funny! i bet they want some of that, LOL!!!!

Spell check would not have caught the error, so those of you who suggest using spell check clearly do not know what they are talking about.

Yikes! Spell check would not have gotten that one and the "f" is next to the "d". Sounds like a pretty honest mistake. I really hope that dinner makes up for the mistake.
