Roommates from hell

Today, I have to choose between getting a cellphone contract that I need, or a TV that I don't even want, but which my flatmates insist I contribute towards. The same flatmates who eat all my food. This increased grocery bill has left me unable to afford either the phone or TV. FML

I've been in this situation, to the point where I started storing canned/dry food (like tuna, soups, and ramen) in my room. Why does it have to be fake? I was spending $400 a month in rent (which was supposed to be food as well, since it was a boarding house) but I ended up spending any extra cash I had on food.

Show them the food bills and tell them if they do not want to contribute to them then the tv isn't your problem! Besides who gets the tv when everyone moves out? Or do you get your money back? You need to post the food bills on the fridge! Make a copy first! Get a pay and talk phone!

I was wondering what their contributions are to the running of the household myself. If they are eating all the food and not buying anything or contributing to the rent or power bills then they got to go!
