Man, being able to say something good in that situation is hard.
you could have added "but if you join me at *bar or restaurant nearby* I can draw you if you want.
I would like to see that comment back in the day with kings and queens.. .
Your opening line that it was a generic face was good you should have then said but I'll draw you if you like. You then draw a really quick stick figure and title it moderately attractive girl on train. Do this with a big smile on your face. I know it sounds counter intuitive but trust me it'll get her laughing.
dude you could of turned that around and simply said "sit down let me show you how good I can really draw"
