Selfish

Today, my mom yelled at me because I refused to lend her money. The reason I won't lend her money? The last time I did, she and my dad went out and bought a Macbook and a new car instead of paying bills. Apparently, I'm being 'selfish' by keeping my own money and putting it towards university. FML

Find a responsible friend, if you can. Just get out. Staying with "anyone" like that is bad for you. Trust me, I'm a hobo.>=]

tell them to fuckoff and steal the shit back and use it in front of them!! Really! Ask them to join u for coffee at a nice coffee house... get there b4 they do and setup the mac!! when they get there ... deny everything!! then when they ask "where'd ya get it ... you tell those thankless ***** 'I bought it', then laugh!!"... rub that shit behavior in their faces!!! they've earned it! Good luck in school!

You must have lent them a crapload of money as neither of those things are cheap.

I love how these FMLs the ops always make themselves look good and responsible.

Where do you get enough spare cash to give away enough for a computer and a car before you even start uni? Your story is somewhat unbelievable.

i know how you feel OP. when i was 16 i was awarded a little over $5k as a train wreck settlement. my mom spent it all on worthless shit. when she got HER train wreck settlement it was over $25k, and instead of paying me back she bought a brand new minivan that lost 2/3rds of it's value when she drove it off the lot. needless to say, i never give my mom money and expect it back.
