This is how conversations start in the comments section that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual post.
Didn't you know that your parents' ability to buy frivolous crap is more important than your education?
I sure hope people can identify the obvious sarcasm here.
Man this person must have a lot of money to have her parents buy a new car with it
Why is op making more than her parents. And to be honest op is kinda being selfish. Your parents, for the most part raised and took care of you. The least you can do is buy your parents a car. And who knows maybe they will let you drive the car and use the computer.
Obviously she is better with money and at her job then her parents are. They shouldn't expect money back for doing their job as a good parent it's ridiculous for anyone to expect something like that back when they were doing it so their daughter wouldn't die cause she wasn't old enough or smart enough yet to fend for herself. If your only raising someone to expect everything back then I don't see how you can even call yourself a parent let alone a good one.
I hate seeing comments that excuse a parent's awful behavior. They're supposed to raise and care for their children. That's their job, and they don't deserve a reward for that.
How much did you give her?! O.o she deserves no monies.
"You need money to pay bills, how about a garage sale, start with that macbook and new car."
124- when working on your child's budget, craigslist reigns supreme....

You deserve it; by it I mean the money.
Looks like SHE needs to grow up.
