Selfish

Today, my mom yelled at me because I refused to lend her money. The reason I won't lend her money? The last time I did, she and my dad went out and bought a Macbook and a new car instead of paying bills. Apparently, I'm being 'selfish' by keeping my own money and putting it towards university. FML

it technically is selfish, but if you don't look out for yourself, who will?

But I changed it and corrected myself so I still do not see how I am a fail. Why do people enjoy trying to make others feel bad over the internet, pretty pathetic. It doesn't say first anymore so back off.

Good job learning to be good with money even when your parents clearly aren't! Stick to your guns on this one. Don't let her intimidate you even if she is your Mom.

Did you throw what happened the last time you lent them money to pay bills back in her face? I would hope so.

Damn why didn't I think of that when my children went off to college. Oh that's right I paid their tuition.

You selfish bitch!! Rather get throwed out of your house.. And **** college!! You have a car and a macbook.. And so what if you cant afford fuel and dont have electricity.. ( its a joke) :D

OP doesn't have either, her/his parents do. Just pointing that out.

You simply cannot pull that card. The parents were well aware of the fact that they would have to provide for their child and then expecting the child to repay them... That's just immature and rude, not to mention idiotic. Giving birth is pretty much like a contract stating that you're now legally forced to take care and provide for your child.
