Silver linings?

By blutownie13 - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I told my ex-boyfriend I lost 20lbs due to the stress of the break up. His response was, "You're welcome." FML

One time I both caught pneumonia and got dumped within two days. I lost forty pounds. Hardly being able to eat for a month sucked, but I was also kind of pumped because I was a chubby ****** back then.

you guys are no longer going out. its not his job to feel sorry for you, and he doesn't have to be nice. if you were looking for pity, you should have gone to a friend. if you were trying to make him feel guilty, then its your own fault (karma). so are you unhealthily underweight now, or is this actually an improvement? cause if you look better, you shouldn't be complaining

It seems as if you were trying to make him feel sorry for you. He's an ex for a reason, you should never call or talk to your ex..ever. Psh..my exes tried that. It didn't work. It just made them look more pathetic and I really saw the reason why I broke up with them.

Boosh! Sucks when shit boomerangs like this huh?

Why would you say that to an ex boyfriend?

lol learn to get over things.... looks like he has, maybe you should....

You know, even if he *does* still care about you enough to be concerned about your health, that whole guilt trip bullshit that you were pulling deserved a verbal smackdown like that. Go whine to your friends about it, don't try to put that on him.

How is this an FML? Next time, leave your ex alone, and be grateful you're not a fat ass any more.
