Honey listen to me, I have depression I cut and ive tried killing myself 4 times so if you ever need someone you can kik me, its lhozy thats a lowercase L I love you darling
We need more people like you.
Can someone explain the whole "it gets better" thing to me? I mean, you don't know what the situation is for the person is, so to me it seems like you're just saying a white lie. Only making it the person being told this feel like people don't understand them and are fake. Maybe I'm missing something, but to me it comes off as people just doing something but with the least possible effort.
That's exactly it. Meaningless platitudes that make a person feel like they're helping without actually doing any work or any good.
Honesty is the best policy
Well, then let's try that, shall we? You are an idiot! Wow, that was easy, I'll try that again soon!
Shit is going to get better. You'll see :)
You know what, maybe it won't get better. Maybe it will get worse, and being told "oh, it will get better" so much and then not seeing the results will lead a person to think that it's something they've done wrong, that they deserve their misery and that the feelings of worthlessness are justified. So, can we not spout the easy lines like that, they mean nothing and don't actually help in the way a sincere discussion does. Maybe things will get better. Maybe they won't. But the important thing is having someone there for you.
Congress about such things with ur pals , instead if people who themselves got few days to live.they might wanna have some company with them while going..
Therapy does help...try that
Therapy, definitely. Getting vitamin blood levels checked (it's amazing what a lack of B and D does) and finding a good antidepressant that restores serotonin to normal levels is also important. It's like high blood pressure...there's only so much you can do to control it via lifestyle and diet. Sometimes a body goes so off-kilter medicine is a must, whether it's serotonin production, insulin, etc.
Seriously, who votes you deserved it? Always a group of idiots that vote that no matter what
its okay.. my grandma told my brother he didn't have friends and that she doesn't know why I wear make up cause its not doing anything for me
That's harsh

I'm sorry OP that was so insensitive of your grandmother to say. Keep your head up, it'll get better and know there's people out there to genuinely help you if you need someone to talk to.
Just because someone says something, doesn't mean you have to accept it. Always remember that you are important! You matter to someone, and if you smile once every day, things will get better.
