I've been in almost that exact, same boat. if anyone ever forces you to choose, then you don't choose them! a true friend regardless of the relationship will never make you choose. they may disagree, they may speak up about it from time to time, but they will support you in your decisions and be there to catch you if you do fall. and jealousy is always a killer. there is healthy jealousy, and unhealthy. that is a example of unhealthy jealousy handled in an unhealthy way. I truly think you dodged a bullet with your ex. good luck to you! It will get better!
My ex did this, we got back together and before we made it official he was like you need to cut this person and this person and this person out of your life. Noticed what he was doing and dropped him like a potato for the 4th time 🙄
