I disagree 46. I don't blame op for falling asleep (it happens sometimes). However, at the same time, it's not the teachers responsibility to wake them and make sure they get where they need to go. It's the students responsibility to not fall asleep in class and to get where they're going on time. The teacher didn't do anything; it's not her problem really.

It's happened to me loads of time... I used to just smile, laugh, salute, and walk out. I slept through all my classes and passed with Bs and Cs.

That's what all teachers should do.

I'm pretty sure I might have been in that class, my teacher told us all about this kid who fell asleep 2nd hour (I have first hour) and he slept half way through 3rd hour.
