Today, I was upset over a recent break up. It showed while I was at work, and I made a customer sad just by looking blue. She complained to my manager. I got written up for being so depressed that I got a customer depressed too. FML

Today, I was short shifted at work because one of my employees decided not to show up. Furious, I wrote her up and made predetermined judgments about her. When she came in, I went off on her for being absent and leaving me stuck. She then informed me her mom tried to commit suicide. FML

Today, I was working when I delivered the standard "Hello, how are you?" to a customer. He took the opportunity to tell me about his deceased wife, his estranged children, and his anal tearing. After a while, I tried to help someone else, and he complained to my manager. I was written up. FML

Today, my boss wrote me up for appearing "depressing" to customers. I told her that I was upset because my dog had to be put down yesterday. She told me, "Aw that’s sad. But guess what? That dog ain’t gonna pay your bills and put bread on your table. So cut the emo crap or you’re fired." FML

Today, I found out my boss wrote me up because he heard me crying on the phone, and that it was unprofessional. I was talking to my sister, who was telling that me my father had died. Three weeks ago, he was crying about his dog breaking his leg. FML

Today, at work, we had an extremely rude customer who started cussing at us, and my coworker started cussing back. I jumped on the register to quickly bring down the line, and apologized to everyone for the scene. A secret shopper was in the line and claimed that I was rude. I got written up. FML

This is why customer service is getting harder and harder to do... the customers don't seem to understand that the person helping them is human too and has ups and downs like everyone else. Bosses seem to expect perfection, even though I have yet to see a robot in any workplace. I'm sorry the customer and boss added insult to injury... the only advice I can offer you is fake it til you make it, its how I get by each work day-otherwise a misanthropist like me could never have a job. Feel better soon, hopefully each day is a little easier

Listen OP, you probably broke up with whoever it was and are now sitting there moaning woe is me because he/she has moved on. Considering you're more likely than not over the age of 15 you should know it is not the end of the world. Suck it up and act like an adult. You are a failure as a human.
