Today, I was upset over a recent break up. It showed while I was at work, and I made a customer sad just by looking blue. She complained to my manager. I got written up for being so depressed that I got a customer depressed too. FML

Today, I was short shifted at work because one of my employees decided not to show up. Furious, I wrote her up and made predetermined judgments about her. When she came in, I went off on her for being absent and leaving me stuck. She then informed me her mom tried to commit suicide. FML

Today, I was working when I delivered the standard "Hello, how are you?" to a customer. He took the opportunity to tell me about his deceased wife, his estranged children, and his anal tearing. After a while, I tried to help someone else, and he complained to my manager. I was written up. FML

Today, my boss wrote me up for appearing "depressing" to customers. I told her that I was upset because my dog had to be put down yesterday. She told me, "Aw that’s sad. But guess what? That dog ain’t gonna pay your bills and put bread on your table. So cut the emo crap or you’re fired." FML

Today, I found out my boss wrote me up because he heard me crying on the phone, and that it was unprofessional. I was talking to my sister, who was telling that me my father had died. Three weeks ago, he was crying about his dog breaking his leg. FML

Today, at work, we had an extremely rude customer who started cussing at us, and my coworker started cussing back. I jumped on the register to quickly bring down the line, and apologized to everyone for the scene. A secret shopper was in the line and claimed that I was rude. I got written up. FML

Ugh, this sounds like Walmart. Managers and customers included. I work in the photo lab at Walmart and right now, that includes Layaway. The customers can be downright ridiculous. Walmart has pretty strict policies regarding professional pictures - aka any pictures you haven't taken personally- and a lot of customers seem to think I do this just to piss them off. As if I didn't have anything better to do with my life than sit here and plan ten million ways I can ruin their day. "Can't you just make an exception?" - "No, ma'am, this is a rule from corporate, I can't change it. If anything happens, we'll get fined $10000 and I will lose my job." - "Well this is bullshit!" Layaway customers can be pretty irritating to. On our signs, it clearly says every item has to be at least $15 and can only be from toys, electronics, small appliances, and some sporting goods. Do they read the signs? No. Will they bitch at ME once I tell them? Yes. "What? More than $15? Can't you make an exception for me?" Or some will bring a HUGE shopping cart full of clothes and then get mad when I tell them I can't ring it up. Or sales items. "Can't you just put it on Layaway anyway?" No, I ******* can't! You realize I will lose my damn job over this bullshit? "No, ma'am, I can't. I'm sorry."
