Spy vs. Spy

Today, I was hanging out with a guy I liked. We sat in the gardens, me facing the path, him with his back to it. We were in deep conversation when I noticed a dog that looked exactly like mine. Then I looked up and saw a man that looked like my dad. Yes - my parents followed me on a date. FML

Well, how old are you? If you're very young, which is a definite possibility, you can't blame them.

Yeahhh, daddy totally brought the bitch along.

You were cheating on the dog with a guy?!?! That's just wrong.

are you sure it was a date? because you use the words "hanging out" and "date" they're both two different things. make up your damn mind. you probabally just said it was a date, or think it is because you wanted to make it an "FML" FAIL

Thank you! I was looking through the comments if anyone else noticed this. True enough you can "hang out" while on a date, but when you start the statement that you were hanging out, OP, it doesn't sound like a date. That still does suck OP, just talk to your dad about why he followed you. And was it only your dad or your mom too that followed you, since you say parents at the end...

Sure they weren't just walking the dog? Either way, at least you weren't doing anything bad.

if it was your first date...i can understand your parents being a little bit protective. i mean, it's not like they intervened or anything. i'm not saying that i approve of it or anything, because it is weird...but i do still have a little bit of sympathy. your parents just really love you. that's all.

You should have gotten naked. That might have helped a bit.
