Sting operation

Today, I sold a customer some beer. He then asked to see the manager, and told me he was a 19 year-old undercover cop. My knee jerk reaction was to panic and curse aloud, before realizing he was balding, toothless, probably 50, certainly not a cop, and laughing at me for being such a gullible moron. FML

The Netherlands FTW! You can legally buy beer at age 16. And weed of course, but you have to be 18 for that.

You my friend are one of the many examples of why I am losing faith in the human race.

well in Aust you can buy it at 18... but they dont check most of the time if you look it.

I understand how scary that is. I work at a grocery store, and if I sold beer to someone under 21, I'd get sued and lose my job and the store would owe a huge fine. It's complete bullshit. I have enough things to worry about other than college kids drinking illegally, that should be the cop's job, not mine. Also, if they have a fake ID, I have to be able to recognize it as fake unless it's, like, perfect.

you must be guilty about something????

I love my country. I've been buying beer(for my grandpa) since before i was 10.

Okay, what were you doing that made you shit yourself at the possibility of an undercover cop? That's my big question.
