Stumped

Today, while reading some chemistry notes, I came across the term "solid water". Completely stumped, I asked myself, "What the hell is solid water?" Then I heard my little cousin say, "Ice." I'm a 4th year science major in university. He still checks the closet for monsters. FML

It's okay, when you study so much you can have stupid lapses like that.

It happens. You don't really realize what some things are at first, even if it should be obvious.

You gotta be kidding right, how u get schooled by a kid that's a shame.

hahahaha that sounds like something I would do. But not a 4th year science major, that is pretty sad. But I guess you were tired or something?

I read somewhere that more advance, smarter people tend to overthink things as they progress so i think you were just thinking to hard lol

no big deal.. it was just one of them things where you read something and it doesn't register right away..

Don't feel bad for not getting it right away, after all "hard water" is not ice, so there is no reason to think "solid water" is either. Also, they wouldn't have used the term "solid water" for ice unless it was deliberately worded to catch people out, I've known exams where they do that.
