Today, my boyfriend said he wanted to marry me. Since he doesn't know my ring size, he asked for me to find a ring that I liked, and he would buy it and propose. The only problem is that he won't spend more than 200 dollars on it. Oh, the generosity. FML

It's about the love, not the ring.

$200 is way more than you should spend on a ring anyway. YDI for valuing the ring over the love!

be grateful you get a ring at all and not to mention the rest of your life with the love of your life...

I don't see the issue. The ring I want is perfectly pretty and only 128 dollars. It's about the love, not the ring, or the wedding.

I think that's being a little bit selfish. It's definitely not about the price of the ring. It's about your love and commitment to each other for the rest of your lives. Call me cheap if you must, but if my boyfriend proposed to me with one of those 25 cent rings out of the machines I would gladly accept it and wear it proudly :)

My husband spent $99 on my wedding ring 8 years ago and as since offered to replace it with something more valuable. I refuse and always will cause the idea behind the ring makes it infinitely more valuable than a stone could. Start your marriage right, quit being so materialistic.

Some guy wanting to put up with your shit the rest his life isn't enough, you want three months pay too?

Materialistic much?! My fiance's ring cost me $70 from a pawn shop. And if you se it, you would think it cost more. But it's about tje love, not the price of the ring. Be grateful you're getting engaged bitch.

Wow, you must be really spoiled. You really care that much about a ring?
