that sucks. report him. that is not okay
Might I suggest the topic of your next paper be of the genocide of native Americans savagely carried out by that of the white devil?
Hey, I'm a Muslim too, at least I have to pretend to be, and while I agree that your professor should remove his foot from of his mouth he is basically right. Many so called contributions to society was roman in origin. So yeah thanks for not destroying that like the christians would have done. Just look at the number of victims of islamistic terror. I know most of them are also muslims who might or might not agree with the perpetrators. As for myself, being too smart to believe in fairy tales sort of puts me in a predicament. I cannot publicly say that I'm 99.9 % sure there is no god. Why do you ask? It would negate the validity of my marriage, it would rob me of my two gorgeous sons and very likely get my ass killed. So I'm sorry but I don't think your professor is wrong. To those of you who think you shouldn't say such rude things to religious people. Religion is like politics on steroids. Some people agree with the teachings of Muhammed, other with Jesus, others still with Abraham and then there is a whole bunch of people who follow an Indian Prince or the ones that believe in a plethora of gods among them one looking like an elephant. Would you really turn to a democrat and ask him to shut his mouth about the shortcomings of the republican party because there are a few republicans in the room? Your religion has less value than a discussion on politics.
OP, you should do one of to things (or, technically, both, if option one doesn't help anything. Though I don't know why it wouldn't help anything, but it's good to have a back-up plan). One: report him for sure. The school should have your back. Two: If, for whatever reason, they don't, transfer into a school with a social justice reputation/standing. My college is a social justice school and would never tolerate something like this, especially since there are a lot of diversity within the student body and there's even a club that creates/holds events regularly to acknowledge and celebrate the different cultures.
Quite honestly, a school shouldn't have a strong emphasis on social justice to comply with the law.
I'm sorry, but bragging about your school having a social justice reputation is not a great thing.

Report him to the department chair. Even if he has tenure, things like that can get it revoked. There's no need to treat people that way.
your teacher is a piece of crap, op. so sorry you had to go through that. report that ****** imediately
