Tactful

Today, I had to put my 17 year-old cat down. I cried the whole way up to the vet's office and back. After finally coming to terms with the situation, and trying to forget, my dad's friend walks up to me and says, "So, I heard you killed your cat?" FML
I agree, your life sucks 37 230
You deserved it 3 870

I'm the first to enjoy satire humor but that was just purely insensitive. Losing pets suck and I'm sorry for your loss.

at least she lived a long, full life. i had to put my 8-year-old cat down this summer (he had cancer) and it was the hardest thing i've ever done. your dad's friend is a jerk, but at least we have the relief of knowing our cats are lazing around together in kitty heaven.

Some people grieve deeply over the death of a pet. Sometimes even more than the death of a human relative. Pets love you unconditionally, are loyal and always cheer you up when you're feeling sad.
