Tailor Swift

Today, I awakened from my peaceful slumber in a great mood. I walked into my closet, ready to pick out an outfit for the day, to find my two year old daughter, kneeling on the floor with a pair of scissors in her hand, cutting up my wedding dress - my wedding is tomorrow. FML

Where would you put scissors that a two year old can get them?

What kind of mother are you leaving scissors sharp enough to cut a wedding dress within reach of your 2 year old!? Not to mention...where the hell was the garment bag?

You should just wear the dress, and use the wedding photos to guilt your child for the rest of her life!

you cant hold something a child did when they were two against them...

What the hell, dude. She could've had a kid from a previous marriage, it's more common than you think. Way to assume.

Maybe this is a second marriage? And things happen that you don't plan on you know...

thats what you get for having a kidd out of marriage

ever though of this being her second marriage? =P and wake up and smell the flowers, it's 2009 and tons of people have kids before marriage. any, OP, I'm sorry, that's terrible sweetie :( I'm sure you'll husband will understand. He loves you and won't mind what you wear. I know It's your big day. I would be heartbroken that my new, expensive dress was cut up :( and did she just cut the underlay? if so, then it's not such big a deal. You could always try to rent a dress last minute if you needed too. Or, just wear any dress :) Good luck and have FUN on your special day :)

wear it anyway i think itll be cute. u dont have another plan......and its kinda ur fault for having kids before marriage, unless u were raped...and idt u were]

ever heard of second marriages? people get divorced, spouses die, shit happens.

YDI: Leaving a two year old unattended with a sharp object is a very stupid thing to do. But look at it this way, at least she didn't take out an eye playing with sharp scissors, idiot.

To number 5, 23, 30 - YDI for whatever bad happens to you in the near future. Assholes. To OP - That sucks. FYL. I imagine that with the wedding, you may not have been extra careful with child-proofing your home. Better get on that and good luck finding a new dress.

Geez, all these people are assuming that she randomly has a kid out of wedlock. Maybe she's a widow? Maybe she's divorced. o.0 Even if she isn't, who cares? It's not the point of this FML.

Totally! The rampant ignorance of the "omg child out of wedlock" comments is really annoying. D:

I agree 100%. And fyi to all the idiots screaming about having babies out of wedlock: I'd bet you've had sex out of wedlock. Just because you didn't get pregnant/get someone pregnant doesn't mean you didn't risk it, so shut your mouths because you're just being hypocritical, brainless wastes of skin. Like Startafire said, there's a number of things that could have happened so stop assuming. And who knows, maybe the OP had her mom watching her daughter while the OP slept, and the child's grandmother lost track of her. I'm sorry about your dress, that sucks. I'm sure you'll look beautiful in anything you wear. I'm also sorry about these morons who are assuming and jumping to conclusions.

to the one above me, Virgin and proud of it.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahah I think SOMEBODY just can't get anyone to find them attractive!

That's one of the worst assumptions I've ever heard; I really hope you're trolling. As someone saving myself, I respect the opinions of those who are willing to have sex out of wedlock, and I see good arguments on both sides. On every other FML, there are people like you, who bash other people for not having sex in half a year or something... and then the abstinence advocates never speak up. Then when there's a single mom in an FML, all the abstinence advocates speak up, and then people like you call them prudes or accuse them of not being attractive. Why?! And for the record, I don't consider myself a hot tease or anything, but I'm not anywhere near horrendous either. Some of my fellow high schoolers have tried to get me to have sex; I simply refuse and ignore the fact that it ever happened. That said, half the FMLs these days turn into sex vs abstinence before marriage comment slews. I did not automatically assume she had sex before marriage... am I in the minority?

#211 - Just because someone is a virgin doesn't mean they won't look like brainless idiots assuming details about someone's life and calling them names and criticizing them for it, like people are doing about the OP.

Ydi for having a baby before marrige, or getting re-married. FHL.

That post is full of so much stupid. Are you serious? Not everyone's a ******* prude. People have sex before the pointless marriage ceremony.

Hang on #41... You're against remarriage? FYMum.
