Try to record him saying that, and whatever you do, don't give him any reason to fire you. That way if he tries, you have proof he doesn't have a legitimate reason.
Some states (mine for example NC) do not have to have a reason to fire you. They can fire you simply because they don't like your shoes. Lots of states are like this.
This says it's in Pakistan, not the United States, so the rules are different. I don't know a lot about Pakistan employment law, but generally, I believe it requires a written outline stating explicit and specific reasons for the termination. Although, the reasons can be complicated, and whether the firing is "reasonable," or "fair," can vary because of different interpretations.
It is possible that there is a legitimate reason to fire OP, but if he does they will question why he hired them.
Or he does have a legitimate reason. I doubt OPs boss just regrets it for no reason. Maybe OP is a bad employee?
Just how bad of a worker are you??
He shouldn't have said it like that. But maybe see it as an opportunity to improve the way you work!
Well... Look on the bright side, OP. You aren't fired and if what your boss is saying is true then you won't have to worry about being fired for some time?
Perhaps ask him what he has issues with specifically and what you can do to change his mind?
Try to find some strengths at your position and build on them, then your weaknesses/flaws won't be obvious or you might even get rid of them. Then will you become a valuable asset to your company and boss.
Sounds like you should Git Gud
Time to look for a new job. This guy will take the first excuse he can to fire you.
