Teenage PDA warning

Today, I was making out with my girlfriend at her house, and her dad saw us. She decided that she didn't feel like riding along when it was time for her dad to drive me home, and went to bed. I, on the other hand, got to have a 15-minute conversation about the merits of "physical boundaries." FML

I think YDI. You were disrespecting his household, and then he had to give you a ride. Shows me that you're still young. There are boundaries. But if you're going to be making out with your girlfriend, it is best not to do it where you both can't be caught by a parent.

Could anyone in the world ever actually be able to list one *merit* to physical boundaries? Fair enough with strangers and the like, but your girlfriend? Relationships usually don't work so well when you start to limit everything.

I agree with 11. You're obviously both still really young. Its his home, and his little girl, and he drove you home and did not simply chase you off with a shotgun in a rage. That shows a lot of patience and maturity on his part. It sounds to me like he is mostly worried that you show her respect. He doesn't know you - for all he knows, you're just using her. So... whatever you're going to do, you're going to do, but respect her, and respect her dad.
