Today, I was using a power drill to take down the set for the musical we just finished. My long hair got caught in the drill, got ripped out, and now I have a hurting, bleeding bald spot the size of 2 quarters. FML

i agree, you should put your hair up, or at least see that it's getting close to the drill. and is it the size and shape of 2 quarters, like a figure 8? or just a half dollar?

You're suppose to tie your hair back before you use tools.

Tying your hair back is one of the most basic things you're supposed to learn in theatre tech. I'm surprised someone in charge didn't call you out on it.

At least you weren't masturbating with the drill and got something else stuck!

where'd you hear it was acceptable from? Go to a high school AP English class, that's not acceptable dumbass.

Your supposed to tie your hair back when using things like that. FYL though, I'd hate if a huge clump of my hair was ripped forcefully out of my head.

here is her quote "Actually, it is now considered acceptable to begin a sentence with a conjunction. As long as doesn't go "And I went to the store. But there were no apples. But I didn't want anything else. And I saw some apples hiding behind the oranges." or something like that, it's okay. It just can't break up a sentence into choppy phrases." No, she didn't actually use the word period, but it was pretty obviously implied. For one, read her example. And the second of course is based on the meaning of the entire thing she said. She was talking about starting a sentence with a conjunction being acceptable so long as it doesn't break a bigger sentence into short choppy senseless bits. Generally to start a sentence, the previous one needs to end, and they usually end with a period. Even when they don't end with a period, they still don't end with a comma. I generally don't get on people's case for correcting other people. It does irritate me, though, when people correct people for things they haven't done wrong. Snicks didn't contradict herself.

put your hair up next time you do any job that involves making, fixing, or cleaning something
