Today, I received my first wedding present in the mail. I opened it immediately and called the sender to say thanks. She yelled at me for opening it and, because she shipped it to me by mistake, requested it back. FML

Cute, but this doesn't make any sense. She would have had to type in your entire address with your name and zip code in the "ship to" fields when ordering the gift in order for it to be shipped to you instead of to her. That's not a simple one-time keystroke error.

If it was bought from a registry, there's usually an option to send to the couple.

Again, the purchaser would have to make a deliberate choice on where to ship the gift. It shouldn't have been any surprise to the purchaser that she chose to send the gift directly to the happy couple. That's why I "cry foul" on this FML.
