Thanks for the assistance

Today, I came in to work and found the conference room whiteboards completely clean. My assistant had wiped all the white boards where I'd spent 10 hours writing the schedule for the next three months. I was going to meet with all the supervisors to finalize that schedule today. FML

You should have taped a piece of paper to the board to remind people not to erase it. That really sucks =/

My guess is that her assistant has been chewed out in the past for the time they forgot to clean up the boss' whiteboard during their morning work day prep and so they just followed the last orders they had been given. Even if that WASN'T the case, YDI completely for the exact reasons others have stated: Excel (and then have your assistant spend 15 mins transferring to white board), taking a pic with your Blackberry (any company that has conference rooms with whiteboards and takes 10 hours to schedule three months for is going to be handing out Crackberries like they're Cracker jack prizes, especially to executives high enough to rate an assistant and be in charge of scheduling) or the ever obvious PLO note. Sorry, you're and idiot and flat out deserve zero pity. I won't go so far as to say I hope you get fired for your incompetence, but I do certainly hope you get reprimanded for it and it affects next year's salary review.

If it takes you 10 hours to write your schedule on a whiteboard there is something wrong. Try typing it out next time.

maybe they were exagerating when they said 10 hours? ...you never know.

someone needs to get fired. I'm just not sure if it should be you or your assistant.

Tell your assistant never to clean the wipe-off board without your permission.

dont repeat it .dont make the same mistake twice.. ok?

1. Fire the assistant. 2. Take a picture with your camera phone of anything important like that, especially if it's on a white board. Had it not been your assistant, it could've been someone else. 3. Type it in the computer, make a hardcopy, THEN put it on the whiteboard.

why... would you write an only copy on a white board.. that's just asking for trouble.
