OP.. this isn't a fml. if you think it is then you need to learn some coping skills. he just put your number down for a free 2 week trial you can sign your friends/family up when you join a gym. he might have gotten a shirt or something for referring people. get over it, you're fine.
It was probably hiding behind your big, ginormous ass, so, of course, you didn't see it coming. Lose some weight or get fitted for a rearview camera system.
your my hero
no, you're my hero.
wow ur life sux
Hey, at least he cares. :D
To those women who think this guy is an asswhole: We, as men (when we really care about you) sometimes like to be careful making a statement about something that women are sensitive about. So we have to come up with different ways to approach things. How are we supposed to approach "hey babe, ure getting fat and its starting to bother me"? No sometimes we gotta find a way to give you a hint in a way that will not create any argument nor questioning about "If you love me it wouldn't matter" or "U're supposed to accept me even if I am fat" (cuz that's a lie, there's always an choice). And don't come out with the whole "We women want you to just be straight forward"! cuz that's a lie too. Its best to just get the hint and take it as constructive as you can take it. Ultimately if it's regarding to get healthier u can't blame anyone else. If my comment bothers any women out there please let me know ur point of view, otherwise "FUL" ;-) !
ITA with you (and I'm a chick!). If the OP is overweight, this is a FREE two week pass to check out the gym and workout with your b/f. If you aren't overweight, then this is a FREE two week pass to keep looking good and tone up and workout with your b/f. Don't get all up in arms because someone cares about you enough to want to give you a FREE two week pass.
responding nearly a year later, after the only people reading this will be fellow insomniacs with strange class schedules: xtremeswat, my issue is that there is no distinction between encouraging a woman to exercise for health reasons versus doing so for aesthetic reasons. it's one thing if someone gains fifty pounds in three months. that needs to be addressed, especially since there are probably underlying issues. but nagging someone because they've gained five or ten Linda gradually over the course of a year is pathetic. you deride the "you should love me regardless" defense, but really, a few extra pounds don't equal a drastic change in appearance. if you're that concerned with a wan based solely on her appearance, i'd say you're the one with a problem.
Don't take it that way. One day I was at a Car lot fundraiser for cheerleading, and there was a booth by Oz Fitness saying "ask us how to get a free shirt" The way to get a free shirt was to write down 10 people's names and phone numbers for a free two week pass. I just wrote down anyone I can think of, including skinny people.
Dang, you must be HUGE if he didn't tell you to your face.haha. You totally deserved this one. It's your fault for eating like there's no tomorrow.

I dont get why fat people get so angry when their significant other does something for them. Its like having someone pay for your college, are you going to say no, get pissed, and not talk to them because they want you to be smarter? Do everyone a favor and exercise.
He's a keeper. Have fun at the gym!
