THIS STORY IS TRUE! I live in Florida also, and this was on the news! The guy is legit
Good for nothing cops, always trying to reach their quota.
If you can walk around Wal-Mart, you can walk in the parking lot.
over 1000 people think the handicapped OP with a valid parking permit deserved the ticket?!?!?
At least that should be easy to beat in court (if it gets that far). And the cop will need to grovel and apologize.
Ok people, im permanently bound to a wheelchair because im a paraplegic. If you can walk, you dont need the ******* handicap parking spot. We dont use those spots because we want to be closer to the store, we use them so we can ******* get our wheelchairs out of our cars. There isnt enough room in a regular parking spot to unload a chair. Not to mention people who are quads who dont have the mobility/strength to assemble and disassemble their chair, and have to use a ramp van which ONLY work in handicap spots. In short: Get your ******* fat lazy ass out of my goddamn parking spot
You can't just get a person to help you and park in the back? You'd have plenty of room, and they could push you. -_-
Some people use them because they NEED to be closer and CAN'T walk very far. Disabilities come in many forms and it is not your right to decide who's is most legitimate.

Who is it for her to decide if you're disabled or not? Wow. I hate people like that. Of course not all handicaps are always going to be noticeable.
I'm pretty sure you can definately appeal against that. People with mental disabilities can get the cards and you cannot physically look at them to see if they're disabled.
