Today, my family returned from a holiday in Egypt. A holiday that I really wanted to spend with them. As if leaving me behind wasn't bad enough, they then made me watch a 200-picture slideshow of how much fun they had. FML

Ydi because you couldve told them you wanted to go and even if you couldn't go you shouldn't have watched it tell them you felt sick or something. And besides you shouldve thrown parties and not bothered to pick up the trash and etc.

OP didn't say parents, she said family. That could mean parents and siblings that might not have paid their way either. Don't jump to conclusions without the facts people.
