Thanks, I think?

Today, after a weekend of helping my sister-in-law move out of our house, vacuuming and mopping her bedroom and bathroom for her, scrubbing her walls and cleaning her shower, transporting her furniture, and getting her carpet professionally cleaned, to cover costs she offered me $14. FML

what a bitch! just steal some money from her purse when she isn't looking.

you should just ask for half the safety deposit she's getting back considering you are the only reason she is getting it back in the first place

I don't care if its an in-law, you still help family to be family.

In 1911, that would buy you a trip around the earth and a rollercoaster ride with Chuck Norris's grandpa.

This is one of those cases where it's less insulting to get nothing. IVY OP.

If she had have spent that $14 on a couple of beers down at the pub, it would have been okay.

you need to make that cheapskate pay AT LEAST 75%

Now go knock her out with something worth $14! lol

You insensitive bitch! Poor Dobby did work like that for years, and didn't get jack shit. You have to have a rant on FML about the $14 bucks you made?! Harden up before I throw a sock at you, filthy mudblood.

Yes, really, oh majestic human being with wife and kids -bows down to-

I'm sensing some kind of feud here. Don't air out your dirty laundry here. No one is interested, I assure you. Take it to PMs and tell each other how much you hate/love/want each other.

Thank you. I didn't want any "feud" but she just was commenting me down. For the girl who posted the comment: Message Me!

If she is moving out of YOUR house, aren't you cleaning YOUR house?

I'm guessing Op did that stuff at the in-laws new place.

if she's broke that offer may mean a great deal more to her than it does to you. if that's the case you shouldn't accept the money. Family should help each other without pay or any other reward.

Carpet cleaning is expensive though. What if OP is having a hard time financially? Even if she's not, it's still a lot of money. It wouldn't be fair to expect a sister in law to pick up the tab on that. Yes you help your family but you don't screw yourself over in the process.

my family once bought a house for close family then they screwed us over and now we're in dept
