Thanks mom

Today, my mom called while I was at a job interview. I ignored the call, but the interviewer was so offended by the fact I'd rudely left it on at all, that he threw me out. I found out from my mom later that she'd called to wish me good luck. FML

It should have been on silent but the interviewer still should have been more understanding...and who would actually want to work for someone who overreacts like that anyways

Well now you know for next time i guess. My mom usually does the same thing -_-

You should have known to shut your phone off or at least put it on silent. Distractions do not help you get a job.

If you need your phone during an interview put it on silent YDI sounds like mom was trying to do a nice thing but bad timing so FYL for that part

Yep they don't like that you ALWAYS turn your phone off!!

Sounds like a script from 'Everybody Loves Raymond'.

Phones are a major part of life, he shouldn't have been offended, but your phone should have been on vibrate!

I dont no why but for some reason I felt sad because you was trying to pass the interview and she called to wish you good luck idk

What's with all the YDI votes? Maybe the guy just genuinely forgot to turn off his phone. It's a very easy thing to overlook. And the interviewer was clearly a douchebag for getting so offended by it.
