These "matrix-style" management configuration never seems to be a good idea in most business situations, especially if there is poor communication and/or animosity among the management staff. Something tells me the OP could fight this, but nothing positive will come out of it for him. Cut your losses, OP, and find a new job.

So? Just go back to that other boss and ask your job back. He or she can prove it was wrong to get you fired ;-)
