The argument for fake IDs

By bryans_fresh - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I wanted to use my gift card for a liquor store. I went to pay the cashier, who said he needed to see my license. I gave it to him, along with my gift card. After paying, he asked me if I wanted him to cut it up, since the card was now worthless. I said yes. He cut up the wrong card. FML

#4: Actually, the cashier is required to hold the license in their hands and examine it closely to make sure it isn't counterfeit. Most licenses have a watermark that reflects when held the right way, this is why they are supposed to actually hold it in their hands. So, in short: shut up, you have no idea what you're saying. As for the OP, sucks dude. I hope you're getting the cashier to pay for it!! :/

******* Downey, your obviously under age and have no clue what your talking about "dipshit"

It's just a license. Get another one. And since when do you cut up gift cards? Just toss them.

Ouch. Identity crisis? NINTH (possibly tenth)

I don't even know what to say to this. Your life is ****** man. Why do so many idiots work at registers? Seriously.

Why was he STILL holding it after you paid?

Damn trainees lol yeah everyone abuse #4 clearly he is 5 years old and has never been to a place where someone would ask for ID. Working in a bottle shop you are actaully told u have to take IDs and check for all sorts of ways it could be a fake.

#4 has obviously never had to show anyone his license. Every single time I've had to show my license, whoever was to look at it had to hold it. Think with your head, not make up what you think is right to do. ****.

It sounds like #12 is the one with the identity crisis.

That's why you say: " No thanks, I'll just take it". If something need to be cut, you can manage. Never trust anyone else than yourself.
